NCCC's CEO in Response to COVI 19

NCCC Supermarket stood as an inspiration to everyone in Mindanao and Palawan with its heartful service, to both its employees and loyal shoppers, amid the fear and risk brought by the coronavirus pandemic.
Its dedication in providing the basic necessities of every household has put NCCC branch associates as front-liners who braved each day with compassion and determination to serve its valued shoppers.
• Care for its employees •
Being retail heroes during this trying time, the retail company has expressed its gratitude and extended its generous hand to its hardworking employees by giving Calamity Assistance worth of 14-day salary to all NCCC associates regardless of their employment status.
This assistance has allowed the associates to purchase enough supply of grocery needs for their families during the quarantine. All store personnels were also given free transportation from home to store, vice versa, during the whole duration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Davao City.
Work from home set up was also allowed to all back-office associates as NCCC believes that successful retail during a pandemic is a result of collaborative perseverance of both associates in-store and back-store.
NCCC Board of Directors has also done their best efforts in ensuring the safety of all in-store associates as they continuously make basic necessities accessible to everyone.
• Valued Shoppers Are Their Priority •
Aside from its doors being open every day to
serve the needs of the community despite the danger, NCCC Supermarket has also created numerous ways to bring easy grocery delivery and pick-up services as people are advised to stay home as much as possible during ECQ.
One of their services is "Call and Delivery", in partnership with Cargo King, wherein shoppers can call through NCCC Supermarket hotlines for their inquiries and orders. Delivery straight to shoppers' homes are assumed to be efficient and easy.
Call & Pick-Up is another service that shoppers can enjoy from both NCCC Supermarket and HB1 Pharmacy. This service is intended for those who wish to buy the items from the store without having to line in queue or shop with the crowd.
Prior to the ECQ declaration, the supermarket has also given an exclusive shopping hour to all Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities and Pregnant Women to allow them to shop safely at their own pace. This is in support of the declaration of the local government of Davao in considering said people as Persons At Most Risk in this pandemic

The homegrown company has also donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to various frontliners in Davao City to express its support in fighting this health crisis.

Lafayette A. Lim, President and CEO of NCCC Group of Companies, was awarded with Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship –Large Scale during the 40th Agora Awards held last January 20, 2020 at Okada Manila.
Lim recently guested as a speaker on a live streaming by Mansmith and Fielders Marketing Inspiration Festival with its chairman Josiah Go.
